Bow Bells House

Protecting precious open space in the shadow of St Paul’s Cathedral

This 8-storey mixed-use development worked to create an office, retail, and public space to support corporate, financial trading and legal uses. A public thoroughfare leading to Bow churchyard passes through the heart of Bow Bells House and helps bring the building together.
The precious open space of the churchyard was protected and enhanced by the scheme, by creating a building that allowed new public access at ground level, while still delivering flexible open-plan offices.
This project was undertaken with Bovis Lend Lease as construction manager and BuroHappold Engineering as structural engineer.
