23 Savile Row

Optimising a West End site to meet demand for large floorplates

23 Savile Row offered an opportunity for Stanhope to create an interesting new development in a historically rich area. Across 150,000 sq ft, the building has provided large open-plan office space in an area where it is not readily available.
A lengthy research process involved close liaison with Westminster planners and neighborhood groups to ensure that the demolition of this 1950s block and its eventual redevelopment resolved any concerns expressed about the change.
This project was undertaken with Mace, Arup, AHY and Mott Green Wall, and included sculpture by Joel Shapiro, his first installation in London.
