It was incredible for the team to be together again celebrating this important milestone that was postponed from last year. Although Stanhope had been operating since the 1980s, it was in 1995 that ‘Stanhope PLC’ was established. In 2005 David Camp took over as CEO. A year later Mitsui Fudosan joined us as external shareholders, followed in 2012 by AIMCo.
Stanhope PLC’s first project was Garrard House, a new City HQ for Schroders on a site owned by L&G. 25 years later, we are proud to say that we have revisited this project for AFIAA on the recently completed refurbishment of this building, now known as Gresham St Paul’s.
Garrard House soon led on to Chiswick Park, Ruskin Square and Paternoster Square, all projects that we are still actively involved in which is testament to our long-standing relationships and long-term vision.
David Camp, Ron German, Charles Walford, Paul Lewis, Aldous Hodgkinson and Angela Denyer were all there in 1995 and are still with us now. They’ve been joined over the years by many other long-standing members of staff and plenty of new faces. Sadly, we have had to say goodbye to some of those who were on this journey with us – you will not be forgotten. Here’s to them, friends and partners, new and old and the next 25 years of Stanhope PLC!
