Stratford City

Laying the foundations for a major new metropolitan centre in East London

The Stratford masterplan was the largest planning application submitted since World War II, encompassing over 14 million sq ft.
Stanhope helped bring together the plan ahead of the 2012 Olympics. The plan was built to be robust and adaptable over time, and the fact it has largely remained intact is testament to this forward planning.
The project was undertaken with London & Continental Railways, Chelsfield, and Arup.
