A decaying industrial belt will be transformed into a waterfront family community of a kind never before seen in the UK
This 15-year project will see the 95 acre Holt Town site, to the east of Manchester city centre, transformed into a family-friendly neighbourhood set in an attractive river valley.
The development will provide low-rise family housing close to the city centre, a concept unheard of in the UK until now. Taking its lead from developments in Stockholm, Sweden, and Copenhagen, Denmark, the Holt Town scheme will create more than 4000 new homes surrounded by parks, playgrounds, leisure facilities, shops, offices and a primary school. The scheme will ensure growing families in Manchester will no longer have to choose between living far from the city centre or living in a high rise block.
We are a joint investor in Cibitas, which is carrying out the scheme.
