Soho Square W1
Major renovation revitalises tired building for next generation of users
The existing 1950s building at 25 Soho Square housed a dingy rabbit warren of empty offices that had once been occupied by the Ministry of Defence.
We stripped the building back to its bare frame, extended its rear wall, built additional floors and a new front façade. The steel frame of the building was badly rusted and required extensive grit blasting to bring it back into a serviceable condition. Inside, light and modern open plan space was created, directed at the media sector. On completion the building was let to a leading advertising agency at a rent never before achieved in Soho.
